Film Review: DINNER FOR SCMUCKS

One of these guys has sexual magnetism, but who's the Schmuck?

Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, Jemaine Clement and David Walliams made me laughed so hard there were tears.

In order to win a promotion, a man is required to bring along someone special to be made fun of at his bosses dinner party, but from the moment he meets his someone special his life is turned upside down and inside out.

I went into this film with trepidation, as it looked dopey and goofy and not my taste in comedy at all, but it turned out to be a clever film about friendship, trust and love that started with a giggle and worked it's way up to 'laugh out loud' hilarious.

Director Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Meet The Fockers) and screenwriters David Guion and Michael Handelman have delivered a shrewd and absurdly funny film.

They were blessed with remarkable comic timing, with performances by Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd and a whole gamut of gifted actors, but I was especially tickled by Jemaine Clement playing Kieran a rebellious, sexed-up painter, David Walliams (Little Britain) and Lucy Punch playing an obsessive ex lover, who is also dazzling in Woody Allen's upcoming film, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

This film went out there and just kept going. I laughed so hard there were tears. Loved it
