Film Review: FRIENDS WITH KIDS

"I wanted to see more of Jon Hamm's character, but I enjoyed it anyway" ...Naomi

Kristin Wiig & Jon Hamm in FRIENDS WITH KIDS

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

A rom-com drama, about two best friends who decide to have a baby together, while they still can, and also keep their relationship platonic so they can remain available to find 'the one' (someone else) The plan is to avoid killing their loving relationships by avoiding the mess involved with being parents. It's done nicely, with an interesting cast.

WHO IS IN IT...

Adam Scott, Jennifer Westfeldt, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Kristin Wiig, Jon Hamm, Megan Fox and Edward Burns

I wanted to see more of Jon Hamm - his part was intense but minor, which is strange because he's been dating the writer/director/co-actor for 15 years. I wonder if his best scenes are on the cutting room floor? And I wonder if it's really odd acting in a scene with your partner while both of you are kissing someone else? I know it's all about being professional and acting blah, blah, blah, but really... a kiss is still a kiss isn't it? What do you think?

Great to see a female director get a film made & amazing that she wrote & directed it too.
